As 2016 is fast upon us, we take a look at some of the colours that are predicted to be a hit in 2016!
Dulux has revealed its colour of 2016 is… Cherished Gold. We think this is a fabulous choice! Gold is such a bright, yet earthy colour that will work well in most rooms of your home. It is associated with luxury and quality, prestige and elegance, a great choice in our opinion!
Dulux has an interesting Colour Trends PDF available to download that is worth a read. It details how gold was selected as this years colour, the research that took place into the trends and a look at the 2016 palette. Take a look!
Earthborn has selected a number of different shades from their range rather than just the one like Dulux. Whilst some of them have pretty unique names, they all have something in common in that they all provide a soft tone of colour. We quite like their selection, particularly ‘Mister Toad’!
You can read more about Earthborn’s selection in their Colour Trends for 2016 Blog article.
Pantone has taken a different approach, selecting a softer colour for 2016 and blending two shades – Rose Quartz and Serenity. Together they provide a balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue.
